The internet is quite a different place today to when I began Steam and Engine so many years ago. As one of the longest lasting websites on the topic and indeed one of the first in Australia, I find that the web has moved to a more dynamic environment of Social Networking.

I'm always on the look out for more stories, information, and pictures. If you have something, please discuss it via e-mail using the contact link. I accept unsolicited works via e-mail, please include a statement to the effect that the work is yours and you grant me the right to use it on Steam & Engine. Credit is ALWAYS given.

Under this new site format it is possible for me to "upgrade" a registered user to Author allowing direct entry of articles. For people I already know well this would be granted on request. For people I don't know I would have a chat preferably by phone then see a sample article before I granted this status. Note: Articles submitted by this method are not automatically published they are directed to the editor for moderation.
